PHOTO TOUR IN TIERRA DEL FUEGO


Cabo San Pablo Tour, An extraordinary panorama of “the other island”, other landscapes, other histories and other people and as a part of the experience, only us.


We starts in Ushuaia, towards east, through the valleys where the winter sports resorts are site, then we will visit the Garibaldi Pass, the highest point of National Route 3 and where we will go across the Fuegian Andes and where will see a spectacular view of Lakes Escondido and Fagnano. Then we will stop at Tolhuin, heart of the island and a singular spot in fuegians life.


Our Tour highlights Tierra del Fuego´s tremendous range of ecosystems: City of Ushuaia with view of the Beagle Channel, hanging glacier valleys, peat bogs, Lakes, the particular village of Tolhuin, steppe, Fuegian Ranches and the Atlantic Ocean with historic ship abandoned. The tour is in focus of the different ecosystems of Tierra del Fuego where you can capture photos with telephoto, macro, zoom, all your photographic equipment ready to enjoy the landscapes, birds, mammals, human settlements, etc.


The opportunities to photograph birds: Neotropic Cormorant, Upland Goose, Crested Duck, Southern Wigeon, Andean Condor, White-throated Caracara, Southern Caracara, Chimango Caracara, Chilean Skua, Dolphin Gull, Dark-faced Cinclodes, Thorn-tailed Rayadito, Dark-faced Ground-Tyrant, White-crested Elaenia, Austral Thrush, Black-chinned Siskin, etc


Deciduous Forest: Fire bush, Box-leafed barberry, Holly-leafed barberry, Prickly heath, Pernettya pumilia, Anemone multifida, Streaked maiden, Mountain yellow violet, Primula magellanica, Fashine, Yellow orchid, Green orchid, Dog orchid, Blechum penna mairna, etc.


Evergreen Forest: Winter’s bark, Pickwood, Evergreen beech, Fashine, Holly leafed Barberry, Wild currant, Box-leafed barberry, Diddle-dee, etc.



One of the most interesting points of this tour is the sequence that occurs in the landscape of mountains and lakes to reach the Atlantic Ocean where the horizon never ends. The Fuegian Steppe with guanacos, its cliffed coast and endless tides. The best chances to photograph landscape, wildlife and macro photography.


We will continue along a non-paved secondary road on the way to C. San Pablo, on the Atlantic Ocean and all its immensity. In the afternoon, already in our way back to Ushuaia, we will see sunset on Lake Escondido.
